  75. (Shareware Version), by MicroFox Company.  This document contains
  76. only a brief description of the package and its features, along
  77. with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed documentation
  78. is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and is more
  79. easily read after installation.

  82. files that use stnadard underlines as input fields, then the MicroFox
  83. Forms Editor is the program for you...

  85. FED is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes all the
  86. features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may use it
  87. for up to 30 days, without charge (see FED.DOC for more details).  If
  88. you like the program, and wish to continue its use after the thiry day
  89. evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  90. REGISTER.DOC for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others
  91. (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a
  92. fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a payment
  93. for continued use of the program.

  118. The installation procedure for the MicroFox Forms Editor (FED) is quite
  119. simple.  The package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates
  120. the entire process.  You will need about 64K of available disk space on
  121. the hard drive on which you plan to install FED.
  122.  
  123. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received the FED
  124. product.
  125.

  127. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  128.  
  129. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  130.  
  131.    o  Place the FED distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette
  132.       drive.
  133.  
  134.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  135.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  136.       the MS-DOS command, "a:install".
  137.  
  138.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  139.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  140.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive. The program
  141.       will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy the FED
  142.       product files to that directory. If you so direct it, the
  143.       installation program will install executable programs and
  144.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will make
  145.       no other changes; specifically, it will not modify your
  146.       autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  149. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  150.  
  151. If you downloaded FED from a BBS (or received it in the form of archive
  152. files from some other source), you will need to perform the following
  153. steps.

  155.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  156.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  157.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  158.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  159.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  160.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  161.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  162.       the package.

  164.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  165.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  166.       the FED package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the MS-DOS

  190. information you need to properly evaluate FED.  We hope you enjoy the
